Ducks float. That is the whole deal with ducks, and it has worked beautifully for them for a very long time. Then along came one fluffy yellow duckling who looked at the water, looked at his reflection, and decided floating was for amateurs. Ducks is the I've Got This… Hold My Beer collection that belongs to him, the smallest diver on the pond and easily the most confident.
Geared up for the big plunge
Duck and Dive shows our hero suited up like he is about to explore a shipwreck: dive goggles strapped over his fuzzy head, a harness buckled across his chest, one webbed foot already in the water and the other ready to follow. His feathers are still sticking up in every direction, which tells you he has not actually gone under yet, but he is committed. You can see it in the eyebrows. Somewhere a lifeguard is quietly putting down a sandwich.
The splash before the story
He is standing in a little puddle of bright blue water, bubbles drifting up around him, with a bottle clutched in one wing like he brought it for the celebration afterward. It might be a puddle to you. To him it is the open ocean, a mission, a personal best in the making. That is the heart of the whole brand in one small bird: the size of the water does not matter, the size of the confidence does.
For the one who jumps in first
This design is for the friend who cannonballs into the lake before anyone checks how cold it is, the scuba diver who has a logbook and wants to show you all of it, and the swimmer who still races the kids to the end of the dock. It is for the little brother who is not so little anymore but still acts like it, and the grandma who got her dive certification at seventy and has not stopped talking about the turtles. One look at the goggles and you will know who he is, because that is SO her. The duckling is still standing at the edge of the puddle, by the way. He says he is waiting for the tide.
