When the call comes in, the rig rolls. The Paramedic collection is the crew riding in the back: octopuses with extra arms for extra patients, turtles who carry their own stretcher, an opossum who has seen things, and a few foxes and a lion who handle the rest. Each one wears the gear of the trade and holds a well-earned drink for the end of shift, under the words I've Got This… Hold My Beer.
More hands on the call
If any animal was born for emergency medicine, it is the octopus. EMT Octopus is bright orange, topped with a green medic cap and a red cross, juggling a bottle, a pint and a roll of bandages all at once without breaking a sweat. OctoMedic, in deep purple and blue with a red cap, holds up two pints and still has six arms free for vitals. Medic Marsupial is an opossum in an olive medic vest, bottle in one paw and beer in the other, wearing the steady look of someone who can calmly handle any situation, including playing dead if absolutely required.
Shell-shocked in the best way
Medic-Turtle strides out of a splash of blue water with a medical badge right on his shell, stethoscope looped around his neck and a pint in his flipper. He may be the slowest medic on the roster, but he is also the one who never, ever panics. His buddy in the sunglasses has clearly just clocked out. He is standing in the surf with a big mug of beer and a grin that says he will not be answering the radio until tomorrow.
The street crew
On black, the land team reports in. EMT Fox wears a navy uniform shirt and a cap with the star of life on it, pint held steady. EMT Fox Hero stands in olive green with a red cap and patches up and down his sleeves, sunburst glowing behind him. Medic Lion the Lifesaver rounds out the unit in green scrubs and a cap with a red cross, bottle and pint in hand, the calm, confident presence every scene needs.
For the one in the back of the ambulance
This collection is for the paramedic who can start an IV on a bumpy road, the EMT who naps in any position, and the dispatcher who stays calm on every call. It is for the family who stops talking when they hear sirens outside, and the partner who knows the shift ends at seven but the stories go all night. Give them the crew member who matches their style. The turtle in the sunglasses would like to remind everyone that he is officially off duty and has earned every sip.
