Every pilot has a callsign, and every callsign has a story nobody is allowed to repeat in front of the commanding officer. The Air Force collection gathers the squadron after the last flight of the day, flight suits still on, aviators still pushed up, a cold one finally in hand now that the wheels are safely on the ground.
The flight line
Red Panda Air Force is the ace everyone wants on their wing. He wears an olive flight suit, mirrored aviators and a squadron cap, and he holds up a frosty pint in front of a deep blue circle scattered with stars, looking every bit like the pilot who just aced the landing and would like everyone to know it. Air Ace Fox is his rival for the title, goggles and gold-trimmed cap perched on his head, big blue lenses reflecting a sky he clearly owns. The two of them have been arguing about who has the better callsign since basic, and neither has ever backed down.
The brass in the briefing room
Pilot Fox Wings shows up in sharp blue dress uniform with a peaked cap and wings on the badge, holding his pint with the calm of an officer who has signed off on a thousand flight plans. Officer Bear Grant wears a crisp white cap and a jacket trimmed in red and navy against a green starry circle, the kind of senior officer whose bark is worse than his bite and whose stories get better every year. Combat Fox Fiona drops in from the ground crew with goggles on her helmet and a sly look, a reminder that nothing leaves the runway without the people who keep the jets flying.
For the one who looks up every time a plane goes over
This collection is for the pilot, the mechanic, the air traffic whisperer and the airman who still stops mid-sentence to watch a jet cross the sky. It is for the family who counts the days until the next homecoming, and for the kid who wants to fly someday and already practices the salute. Choose the animal whose rank and swagger fit your aviator best, and let them wear their squadron pride to the barbecue. The fox and the red panda are still debating whose callsign is cooler. The bear has heard enough and ordered another round for the table.
