Long before anyone had a hard hat, a set of blueprints or a building permit, the beaver was out there damming rivers with nothing but his teeth and a strong opinion about where the water should go. The Beavers collection honors the hardest working builder in the wild, captured at his favorite moment of the day: quitting time.
Meet the Beaver Engineer
He sits back on his broad tail, a bright yellow hard hat perched on his head with a badge on the front, and a blue work vest covered in pockets that almost certainly hold a pencil, a tape measure and a snack. His cheeks are round, his whiskers are proud, and in one paw he holds a big foaming mug of beer like the reward it is. Little flecks of gold sparkle around him, the universal sign of a job well done. Behind that satisfied look is a beaver who moved a whole river today and would like to talk about it.
A builder's builder
Beavers do not take shortcuts. They measure twice, chew once and rebuild anything the current knocks down, no complaints, no drama. They are also, famously, the only animals who reshape entire landscapes to suit their taste in real estate. That is the kind of confidence this collection is built on. When a beaver says he has got this, the dam is already halfway done.
For the one with a toolbox in the truck
You know the type. They cannot walk past a wobbly table without fixing it. They have a garage organized better than most hardware stores and an opinion on every renovation show. Maybe it is the engineer in the family who explains how bridges work during road trips. Maybe it is the contractor who builds houses all week and then spends Saturday building a treehouse for the grandkids. Maybe it is the neighbor who lends out his tools and always gets them back, because nobody wants to disappoint him. Give them the beaver. They will laugh, admit the resemblance, and then point out that the hard hat is the correct model.
