Everyone remembers the turtle who beat the hare. What the fable leaves out is what he did after the finish line, and the Turtles collection finally sets the record straight: he grabbed a beer and took up a few careers. These turtles carry their homes on their backs, a mug in one flipper, and I've Got This… Hold My Beer overhead like a motto they have been living by for a very long time. They are never in a hurry, and somehow they are always right on time.
Turtles on the job
Hot Shot Turtle wears a red firefighter helmet and carries a red extinguisher strapped alongside his shell, holding his mug up with the easy confidence of a crew member who has seen worse. Medic Turtle has a stethoscope looped around his neck, a white cross on his shell and a big golden mug in hand, with a few little red hearts floating nearby because he clearly cares a lot. Lifeguard Turtle keeps watch from an orange and white life ring, red sunglasses on, beer in his flipper, scanning the water for anyone who needs saving and anyone who needs a refill. Tactical Turtle has set up a proper base camp, a green tent pitched in the sand behind him and a mug raised as he surveys his territory.
Turtles in their element
Then there are the ones who went back to the water. Turtle Artist glides through a swirl of painted ocean on black, all deep blues and splashes of teal and gold, a beer held out as he paddles along like the whole sea was painted just for him. Tipsy Turtle swims through a spray of bright water with his mug tilted so the foam flies off the top, looking absolutely delighted with the situation. Neither of them has checked the time today, and neither of them plans to.
For the one who gets there eventually and does it in style
These designs belong to the firefighter, the medic, the lifeguard and the weekend camper, and to every beach person who has ever stood very still on the sand hoping to see a nest hatch. They are also for the friend who is always the last to arrive and somehow the best company once they get there. Picture your person strolling into the party an hour late, completely calm, already holding a drink, and you know which turtle is theirs. The hare is still asleep under a tree somewhere. The turtle has already opened a second round.
