This is the golf corner of I've Got This… Hold My Beer, made for the player who treats every round like a major and every scorecard like a rough draft. Two characters hold down this course, and neither one has ever taken a lesson.
The skeleton on the green
Skeleton Putter kneels on a patch of perfect green, club in one bony hand and a frosty mug in the other, studying the line of a putt like he has all the time in the world. He does. He has been out here a while. The lettering beside him turns the oldest saying in golf into a pun only a skeleton could pull off, and his red sneakers prove he still cares how he looks on the course. Every group has a player who takes forever to line up a short putt. This is his portrait.
The bear who swings for the moon
Paw Putter goes the other direction entirely. A bear in silhouette winds up a full swing against a glowing gold sun, a mug of beer waiting patiently at his feet, with the brand's own words curving over the top and underneath. Nobody knows where that ball is headed. The bear does not care. The follow through is magnificent, and in his book that counts for more than where it lands.
For the weekend golfer with big confidence
These two belong to the golfer in your life who calls a mulligan a strategy. The one who blames the wind on a calm day, who buys a new driver every spring and keeps the same slice every summer, who swears the back nine is where he really comes alive. Maybe it is your dad and his Saturday foursome. Maybe it is the coworker who books the Saturday foursome before the meeting even ends. Hand them the skeleton if they putt like they are defusing something, or the bear if every drive is a leap of faith. Either way, they will be at the nineteenth hole afterward, telling everyone about the one shot that went perfectly straight.
