Sharks were cruising the ocean before there were trees on dry land, which means they have had a very long time to get bored. The Sharks collection is what they did about it. At the top of the food chain there is not much left to prove, so these great whites went looking for new things to be the best at, and they brought a beer to every single one. The words change color from design to design, but the message holding them together stays the same: I've Got This… Hold My Beer.
Home waters
Some sharks never stray far from the surf, they just stop swimming in it like everybody else. Surfing Shark Tides bursts through a curling blue wave with his mug up, Surf Shark and Sand Surfer Shark each launch out of the water against a big glowing sunset, and WindSurfer Shark skims the chop with a pint held clear of the spray. Skiing Shark rises on a jet of whitewater with a bottle in his fin, and Kayak Shark paddles a bright yellow kayak with his drink riding shotgun. The ocean is still his, he just rearranged the furniture.
Land shark
Then there are the explorers who swam straight up the beach and kept going. Climbing Shark shows off a surprising pair of arms against a pink rock face, beer clenched in one fist, while Craggy Climber Shark has claimed a gray ledge and Climb Adventure Shark rises out of a sunset mountain range painted in reds and violets. Mountain Shark pulls on his goggles for the run down, Hang Gliding Shark floats beneath a rainbow wing high over a little green island, and Half Pipe Shark and Skater Dude Shark both catch air on skateboards with the wave still breaking behind them.
The home team
Back in town, Lab Shark stands in a white coat among bubbling flasks, Barista Shark surfaces from a pile of roasted coffee beans behind a foaming mug, Grill Shark marches through the flames holding up a burger, and Drum Shark keeps the beat behind a full orange kit. Fire Shark stands firm in front of a wall of red and orange flame. And in Shark Jockey, a penguin has taken the reins and is riding a shark across the water, bottle raised, clearly the one in charge of this whole operation.
For the one everyone hears before they see
These designs belong to the surfers, climbers, skaters and scientists, the backyard grill boss and the drummer who practices in the garage at unreasonable hours. They belong to anyone who spends every July glued to the nature channel and every August at the beach scanning the water for fins. Picture your person making a big entrance with a grin full of teeth, and you already know which shark they are. Somewhere a lifeguard just spotted a fin and reached for the whistle. Relax. He is only looking for somewhere to set down his beer.
