Sharks are supposed to stay in the water. This one heard the rule, nodded politely, and then signed up for every hobby, every sport and at least three day jobs anyway. Shark Shenanigans follows one toothy overachiever through all of it, grinning ear to ear with a cold one never far from his fin.
Anything with a board under it
Half Pipe Shark kicks off a skateboard in a burst of spray, mug raised like he meant to land it that way. Skater Dude Shark rides his board straight out of a wave, which is not how skateboards work, and he does not care. Surfing Shark Tides and Surf Shark carve through curling blue water, one of them against a blazing sunset, while Sand Surfer Shark leans into a wave under an orange sky. Snowboard Shark and WindSurfer Shark skim the surface with a beer held clear of the splash, because priorities.
Higher than a shark should go
Hang Gliding Shark drifts under a rainbow canopy above a little green island, enjoying a view no shark has ever needed. Climbing Shark flexes a pair of very unexpected biceps against pink rock with a mug in his fist, Craggy Climber Shark props himself on a ledge to celebrate the summit early, and Climb Adventure Shark bursts out of a sunset mountain range like he owns the trail map. Mountain Shark pulls his goggles down, grabs his drink and points himself downhill.
The day jobs
Lab Shark wears a white coat among bubbling flasks and test tubes, and the experiment is clearly going well. Barista Shark rises out of a pile of coffee beans behind a mug with a perfect head of foam. Grill Shark carries a burger through a wall of flames, Drum Shark keeps time behind a full kit, and Shark Jockey finally takes a break from all that effort by letting a penguin ride him across the water, bottle in hand, looking thrilled about the arrangement.
For the friend with a new hobby every month
You know him. Last spring it was kayaking, this summer it is rock climbing, and he has already bought the gear for something new that he will explain to you at length. She takes a pottery class, a surf lesson and a barbecue seminar in the same month and somehow shows up to all of them grinning. These designs are for the one who says yes first and reads the instructions later, and you will know the right shark the second you see it, because that is SO them. Fair warning: this shark has already signed up for ballroom dancing. Nobody has told him about the fins.
