When a ferret gets truly happy, it does something called the weasel war dance: a wild, sideways, back-arched hop around the room that looks like a tiny victory celebration nobody else was invited to. Anyone who has lived with a ferret has seen it. The Ferrets & Weasels collection is two members of that long, slinky family who earned the right to do the dance, one in a lab coat and one in a combat helmet, each with a beer and the words I've Got This… Hold My Beer riding along beneath them.
The doctor is in
Dr. Ferret Felicia sits in front of a pale round backdrop wearing a crisp white coat and a doctor's head mirror strapped across her forehead. She has a sleek, sandy coat of fur with a white face and bright, knowing eyes, and she is holding up a big mug of beer with the calm authority of a physician who has read your chart and decided the treatment plan starts after hours. A black banner curls across the bottom of the design like a diploma ribbon. Her bedside manner is excellent. Her prescription is not available at any pharmacy.
Reporting from the front
Weasel Warrior Walter is the field operative of the family. He wears a rounded army helmet with a pair of goggles pushed up on the brim and an olive jacket with a patch on the sleeve, and he grips his mug in both paws like it is the most important piece of equipment he was issued. His face is lean and alert, the look of a weasel who has slipped through tighter spots than this one and plans to do it again. A red banner cuts across below him with the first half of the line in bold white, and the second half sits right underneath, finishing the thought.
For the small ones with the big stories
These designs belong to the doctors, nurses and vets who keep everyone patched up, and to the service members and veterans with a story for every patch they ever wore. They also belong to the ferret parents, the ones who have lost a sock, a set of keys and at least one remote to a furry thief and would not trade the chaos for anything. Picture your person bouncing sideways across the kitchen after good news, delighted and unembarrassed, and you have found the right weasel. Felicia has cleared Walter for duty. Walter has already started the dance.
