A group of flamingos is called a flamboyance, which is the most accurate name anyone has ever given anything. Flamingos is the I've Got This… Hold My Beer collection for the bird who took that word and made it a personality: bright, graceful, a little dramatic, and never once in a hurry.
The garden party guest
Flamingo Sips stands tall in a watercolor garden, framed by hot pink hibiscus, orange blossoms and big green palm fronds that curl around her like a stage curtain. Her long neck arches in a perfect S, her feathers run from blush to coral, and a tall glass of beer with a crown of foam waits on the ground beside her. She has not touched it yet. She is letting everyone admire the composition first. This is a bird who understands that arriving is an art form, and she has chosen the best spot in the whole garden to do it.
Why she is that color
Flamingos are born gray. They turn pink slowly, from what they eat and where they spend their days, which means every one of them earned that color by living exactly the way they wanted. Our flamingo took that lesson to heart. She spends her afternoons among the flowers, keeps her schedule wide open, and sees no reason to change a routine that has turned her this fabulous shade. There is a lesson in there somewhere, and she would tell you to skip it and enjoy the sunshine instead.
For the one who owns the room
This design belongs to the friend with the loudest sundress at the barbecue, the aunt with the pink lawn ornaments she refuses to apologize for, the neighbor whose porch has a tiki bar and string lights all year long. It is for the bachelorette crew, the beach house regulars and the woman who has never once blended into a crowd and has zero plans to start. Hold it up and she will laugh and claim it on the spot, because that is SO her. And if anyone asks why she is standing on one leg at the party, the answer is simple. The other one is resting for the dance floor.
