Bears are supposed to spend half the year asleep. This one took a look at the sports calendar and decided hibernation could wait. Bear Force is the I've Got This… Hold My Beer collection drawn in one bold style: a black bear silhouette set against a glowing gold sun, the brand's words curving around him like a team crest, and in every single frame he is playing a different sport with a drink in paw.
The ball sports
Slugger Snout steps into the batter's box, bat cocked behind his shoulder, the ball already sailing off toward the fences while a bottle waits by his feet. Goal Grizzzly dribbles a soccer ball upfield with a mug held out for balance, Gizzly Gridiron tucks a football under his arm and charges toward the end zone knowing nobody in the league is about to try tackling a bear, and Paw Putter follows through on a long golf swing, pint parked on the green. It is a full season, and he has not missed a practice.
Wheels, blades and boards
Bearon Wheels pedals a road bike with a drink held up like a water bottle, and Bear Tricks catches air on a dirt bike, back wheel kicked out. Slider Bear leans into his skis with a mug in the other paw, Puck Paws drives down the ice with a hockey stick and a beer, and Hang Ten Claws rides a curling wave that wraps right around the golden sun. Summer, winter, pavement or water, the bear shows up ready.
For the all-season athlete
This collection is for the one who plays in the rec league every season, the dad who coaches three teams and still wants to join the pickup game, the weekend golfer who also has a mountain bike, a pair of skis and a surfboard in the garage. It is for the fan who watches every sport and swears he could do all of them, and for the big friendly guy the whole crew calls a bear anyway. The gold-sun look is simple and bold enough to read from across the field, and one glance will tell you which sport they would pick, because that is SO him. The bear has one rule for the season: he rests when the playoffs are over. The playoffs are never over.
